The thing is, not many people want to be known as the Fat Guy. We live in a culture that tries very hard to admit that there are a lot of us out here, that we are not all lazy or indolent, that not many of us are pampered beyond redemption, that we live and love and some of us have very good Cholesterol numbers, thank you very much.
The Fat Guy lives in Northern California and has pursued the life of the food traveler in as many of his years as he has been able to manage. If he cannot find it, he will learn to cook it. If he cannot learn to cook it . . . well that’s never happened, so who the heck knows? While in Minnesota he had to learn to cook sichaun cuisine since there wasn’t any there. In order to woo his wife, he had to learn to cook Indian curries. He’d love to learn Thai cuisine, but there is just so darn much good Thai out there, that he hasn’t really felt the need just yet.
The fat guy is like you, only perhaps a bit more dedicated, a bit more driven, a bit fatter from all of the wonderful things that he has sampled in his life. The fat guy invites you into the domain of good food, good friends and good times.
If you haven’t tried Cafe Citti in Kenwood, you are missing some of the tastiest Italian you’ll find in Santa Rosa. Indoor dining is cosy. Outdoors there are picnic tables. I especially like the pizzas and their egg salads.
